Watershed Adaptation in Ontario: Conservation Authority Perspectives
Workshop: Moving Forward on Adaptation

As part of the Ontario Regional Adaptation Collaborative, OCCIAR is working with Conservation Authorities (CAs) to address the challenges of climate change and move forward on adaptation. The CA Climate Change Adaptation Workshop Series, organized by the Ontario Centre for Climate Impacts and Adaptation Resources and Conservation Ontario, was held in February and March of 2011.
For Conservation Authority staff and directors, these workshops were organized to:- raise awareness of climate change and its implications to CA business;
- provide an update on provincial perspective and initiatives (MOE and MNR);
- provide opportunity for CAs to share current CA climate change initiatives; and
- discuss challenges and approaches for incorporating adaptation and mitigation into CA programs.
