Ontario Regional Adaptation Collaborative Products
Natural Resources Canada partnered with the Ontario Ministry of Environment, and worked directly with other partners including government, non-government organizations, and academia to develop knowledge and tools meant to help local practitioners and decision-makers reduce the risks and maximize opportunities arising from a changing climate. The Ontario Regional Adaptation Collaborative worked to address targeted climate change vulnerabilities through several projects to advance decision-making in the areas of extreme weather, risk management, water management, and community development planning.
Community Development Planning
Provided information, tools, and recommendations needed to facilitate the integration of climate change adaptation into planning, policies and processes within municipalities and regions. A strong focus was placed on municipal decision-makers and involved targeted training and provision of support tools for integrating climate change adaptation into targeted policy decisions and everyday actions.
